The Samantha Britton Memorial Fund
The Samantha Britton Memorial Fund was founded in 2007 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. The fund was established in memory of Samantha Britton to assist families with necessary resources during their child’s battle against brain tumors or other forms of potentially terminal cancers.
Unfortunately there are numerous gaps in our current health care system and families across the country face many hardships during their time of greatest need. Family circumstances are unique and The Samantha Britton Memorial Fund hopes to address independent family needs in three critical areas:
- To provide the financial assistance necessary for families to seek potentially life saving treatments for their child that are not fully covered by traditional health insurance.
- To allow children to receive care at home (when possible) with their families in a safe and nurturing environment.
- To provide knowledge that increases the awareness of alternative treatments and resources available to children and their families who won’t need to feel that they are “going it alone.”
Samantha Britton
Samantha Britton was a special little girl, yet her life was cut short on February 19, 2007 after a 13-month battle with a malignant brain tumor (anaplastic astrocytoma). Throughout the course of her illness, Samantha’s courage was unshakable as she lifted up those around her and gave us all hope. Bright, beautiful and full of life, Samantha had a genuine caring for others.
Her Legacy Lives On
We know that Samantha would have wanted to give hope to other children. Through her memorial fund, families are given access to additional support and resources that can open up treatment options and services that previously may not have been available to them.

Through our fundraising efforts, we have been able to make a difference in many families’ lives and look forward to expanding our ability to help those in need of financial assistance. In addition, we continue to support the quest for a cure by providing funding for children’s cancer research.
